Diane has been teaching all ages and abilities for over 16 years. With the philosophy of 'we all started somewhere' she relishes finding new approaches to teaching and providing bespoke resources for her students whether that be just for enjoyment or for those seeking a career as a professional musician. As a lecturer in Music Performance at Salford University and having taught at Chetham's School of Music she is comfortable teaching at the highest level but is also a firm advocate of youth music; coaching/conducting junior ensembles and teaching children throughout their school career both privately and in schools.

With a fully enhanced DBS certificate, Diane can teach from her home in Clitheroe or travel to the student for a small fee. As an active musician she is happy to fit lesson times to suit the student with the reassurance that what she is teaching is practice-based and current to the ever changing climate of the Music Industry.

Past and present students have gone on to reach the semi-finals of BBC Young Musician, gained scholarships for most major Music Conservatoires, led highly successful jazz and pop bands or even just built up the confidence to join their local community band.
